August to September: I went to Ibiza!

Sorry for the delay with my round-up of August and look forward to September, but I was on holiday in Ibiza, reading, quad biking and generally loving life, so did not have any time for laptops or blogging! Now that I’m back however, here is an overview of what’s to come and what has been…

What I read in August

Resin by Ane Riel – 4.5*

The Rules of Seeing by Joe Heap – 5*

One Little Lie by Sam Carrington – 2*

VOX by Christina Dalcher – 5*

The Survival Game by Nicky Singer – 4.5*

Lolita by Vladimir Nobokov – 3*

The Girl I Used To Be by Mary Torjussen – 4*

Lush by Gabrielle Fernie – 5*

My highlights from this month are The Rules of Seeing by Joe Heap, which is a beautiful LGBT+ love story complete with domestic thriller elements. Also, VOX by Christina Dalcher is important to highlight, not only because it is an excellent read, but also because of the important political issues it raises.

Coming up in September…
Firstly, what I have read in Ibiza:

The Hunger by Alma Katsu – 5*

What Was Lost by Jean Levy – 5* BLOG TOUR 22nd September

Friend of the Family by Tasmina Perry – 4* BLOG TOUR 21st September

the hunger

What else do I have coming up this month?

The Corset by Laura Purcell

A Little Bird Told Me by Marianne Holmes

Dead End by Rachel Lynch BLOG TOUR 15th October

A Blade So Black by L.L. McKinney BLOG TOUR 1st October

The Cuckoo Wood by M. Sean Coleman

I am also currently listening to the audio book for IT by Stephen King, but it is 44 hours long, so that will be coming either this month or next! And I may just get around to reviewing the other audiobooks I have listened to…
