Throughout April, I have read some brilliant books and received some excellent book post to read throughout May. I have thoroughly enjoyed being back at publishing events more frequently; I attended the SYP social following the London Book Fair and their Literary Bingo event which was a roaring success. I also attended the Get a Job in Publishing Course run by Aki Schilz of The Literary Consultancy.
Having a look back through what I have read this month:
The Wolf by Leo Carew
Now You See by Max Manning
The Water Cure by Sophie Mackintosh
Where the Light Gets In by Lucy Dillon
Part one of IT by Stephen King
The Pool House by Tasmina Perry
Don’t Make a Sound by David Jackson
Guess Who by Chris McGeorge
Phew, I certainly smashed my April reading target! With seven full books read, part one of a King novel and being halfway through King’s latest book, I am impressed with myself.
Without further ado, the part we all love…
In May, you can expect reviews of:
The Outsider by Stephen King out 22 May
The House Swap by Rebecca Fleet out 3 May + Blog Tour 7 May
Rose Gold by David Barker out 10 May
OMG What a Complete Aisling by Emer McLysaght & Sarah Breen out 11 May + Blog Tour 14 May
Indigo Lost by S.R. Summers + Blog Tour 14 May
Cross Her Heart by Sarah Pinborough out 17 May
The Cult on Fog Island by Mariette Lindstein out 17 May
Kiss Me Kill Me by James Carol out 31 May
We Other by Sue Bentley + Blog Tour 29 May
I am looking forward to getting through these 9 books, especially Stephen King’s new thriller which already has me completely hooked!
As well as this, I will be attending a few publishing/bookish events this month. My currently scheduled events include the Society of Young Publishers social on 10 May and the SYP panel event entitled ‘The Wider World of Publishing’ on 17 May. I look forward to an excellent May!
